Premiere of the “Pictures at an Exhibition”

In October we had the pleasure of working together for the first time with the Southwest German Chamber Orchestra. The conductor was Douglas Bostock, and the program featured Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition in the adaptation by Jun Nagao, which isn’t only a creative transcription of the masterpiece, but something decisively more as the new, original material is a very important part of it.

We thoroughly enjoyed the intense rehearsal period as well as discovering the city of Pforzheim, but the most rewarding moment was undoubtedly the concert itself. We are delighted that both the audience and the press responded with enthusiasm, and we very much look forward to working with the orchestra in Pforzheim again in the future.
