The saxophone is more diverse than many believe and know! Mostly known from jazz and pop, this instrument is actually a child of romantiscm. That’s why the SIGNUM saxophone quartet’s aim is to complete this broad spectrum of sounds from baroque, symphonic orchestral music to jazz. In the SIGNUM saxophone quartet, the four most popular sizes of the soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophone are represented, and each instrument is unique in its character and sound. In this concert, the SIGNUMs want to demonstrate how a whole unit is created in the interplay of several voices – a quartet.
Their approach is not “scholastic” but playful, musical, human and direct. The aim is to stimulate the imagination of the audience, to encourage asking questions, to blow into saxophones, to make music with the SIGNUMs – to become part of this experience with all senses.
However, the SIGNUM musicians have much more to give to their young audience: the most important message of the Fab4 is that with a firm belief in one’s own dream and one’s own ability, everything can be achieved in life!
If you, as a friend and as part of a team, pursue your life goals, everything in life is easier. The credo of the ensemble “Together we are strong” is the core statement of this music program and also the secret beyond the success of this young exceptional quartet!
