Welcome Michal!

We are delighted to welcome MICHAL KNOT on soprano saxophone.

Many years ago, in 2011, Alan and Michal were at the same university in Vienna – yet just missed each other, as Alan had already left for Cologne by the time Michal arrived from Rome. Their paths would briefly cross again in 2015, and once more in 2024, when they shared the stage for a few concerts. Now we are thrilled that Michal is joining SIGNUM!

He embodies the values that are at the heart of SIGNUM: a commitment to giving everything on stage, a deep sense of musical responsibility, and the unique ability to connect with audiences through expressive sound and phrasing. His extensive performance experience, combined with his well-organized and pragmatic approach, makes him an ideal addition to our quartet.
